What is a 3D four-wheel aligner and when is four-wheel alignment needed?

The so-called 3D four-wheel aligner refers to taking the average propulsion direction of the rear wheels as the positioning reference to measure and correct the four-wheel related positioning angles; so that the parts of the vehicle chassis and tires can maintain an appropriate geometric relationship when the vehicle is running, so that the driver can drive his beloved car correctly and comfortably and prolong the service life of tires and related parts of the chassis.

When a vehicle is manufactured, the positioning angles of its suspension system (there are seven basic positioning angles) are preset according to design requirements. These positioning angles are used together to ensure the driving comfort and safety of the vehicle. However, after the vehicle is sold and driven for a period of time, these positioning angles will change due to traffic accidents, violent bumps caused by uneven roads (especially when suddenly encountering uneven roads at high speeds), wear of chassis parts, replacement of chassis parts, replacement of tires and other reasons. Once the positioning angle changes due to any reason, discomfort symptoms such as abnormal tire wear, vehicle deviation, decreased safety, increased fuel consumption, accelerated wear of parts, heavy steering wheel, and floating vehicle may occur. Some symptoms make the vehicle very dangerous when driving at high speeds.

The purpose of the four-wheel alignment maintenance service is to diagnose and treat the above discomfort causes of the vehicle through positioning angle measurement. Generally, four-wheel alignment should be done after driving a new car for 3 months. After that, every 10,000 kilometers of driving, the front and rear tire positions should be exchanged. Check whether the tire dynamic balance or shock absorber has oil leakage. And four-wheel alignment should be done in time after a collision.

Correct wheel positioning can ensure flexible steering, comfortable ride, maintain straight driving, prolong tire life, and reduce vibrations caused by the road surface.
